This quick guide demonstrates how to back up and transfer iPhone apps to a PC without the need for having iTunes installed. The method works for backing up apps from any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Let’s back up iPhone apps to PC

  1. Download CopyTrans from the following page:
    Download CopyTrans

  2. Install the program. If you need help installing CopyTrans, please refer to this article.

  3. Close iTunes and start CopyTrans

  4. Connect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch whose apps you want to back up to your computer. The apps will appear listed under the “Applications” playlist within the main CopyTrans window main program window listing ios apps

  5. Select “Manual backup” on top manual ios apps transfer

  6. Choose the iPhone apps you wish to back up by checking the box next to each app. To select all apps at once simply check the box next to “Applications” and click the “Folder” button select ipad apps to transfer without itunes
