(3 votes, average: 3.67 out of 5)Little is required to run and operate CopyTrans programs on any Windows PC. They can run offline and provide a hard-to-match degree of privacy, safety and security when managing iOS contents like iPhone contacts, calendars, messages and notes.
OS requirements
Our programs are designed to run on Windows 7, 8.1, 10, 11 (both 32-bit and 64-bit based machines, except for CopyTrans Filey).
NOTE: Older versions of CopyTrans programs can be run on Windows XP.
While CopyTrans programs are not compatible with Mac OS, they can still be used on a Mac computer if you have a virtual Windows machine installed.
We provide EXE files for each of our programs. Small in size (10 to 20 MB each) and independent they can be run directly from the executables without requiring any other files.
Alternatively, you can manage all of our programs from a single window called CopyTrans Control Center. It downloads, updates, and runs the programs for your convenience.
Is administrator access required?
Administrator access is not required for running any of CopyTrans programs. Administrator access is only required when installing iOS drivers.
Drivers
iOS drivers allow your computer – and, in turn, CopyTrans programs – to communicate with iOS devices. Once iOS drivers are installed, you can use CopyTrans programs with iPhone, iPad or iPod touch of your choice.
We have developed our own tool called CopyTrans Driver Installer to install iOS drivers without requiring iTunes.
No need for iTunes
CopyTrans programs do not require iTunes installation in order to be operated as long as you installed the iOS drivers mentioned above. One exception is CopyTrans TuneSwift, since it works with iTunes directly on managing its libraries.
Offline use, privacy, security
Our software is particularly designed to help you remain outside of Apple’s ecosystem. Therefore programs that manage your mobile device are fully operational in offline mode. If we do, however, need to enter Apple’s ecosystem to interact with your iCloud account, Internet access is required.
