The method described in this article works for all Android phones such as Samsung Galaxy S9, HTC One, etc. and for all iPhone models (including iPhone Xs) running iOS 12 or earlier. In this demonstration, we will transfer contacts from Samsung Galaxy S6 to an iPhone X.
How to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone?
On the Android phone, open the “People” or “Contacts” app depending on the phone model.
Tap “More” or the three dots symbol on the top right of the screen.
On older Android phones, when in the “Contacts” app, tap on the phone “Menu” button and then select “Import/Export”.
Choose to export contacts to the device storage.
Now connect your Android phone to the computer via the USB cable. If the phone prompts you, set the connection type to “Disk Mode” or “USB Connection (Mass Storage Mode)”.
The phone will appear as a new portable drive within the “My Computer” section of your PC where all the rest of the PC drives are listed. Double-click on the drive called “Phone”.
If you exported the contacts to the SD card instead, double-click on the drive called “Card”.
Find the vCard file. This is the file you created when you’ve transferred contacts from Android to computer.
Drag and drop the contacts file to the PC Desktop. Disconnect the Android phone.
Now restore the Android contacts to iPhone
