Great news!!! I ran CopyTrans Doctor again and then opened iTunes and it worked.
But most importantly, it fixed the sync problem!! I have been struggling with the problem for months.
I gave up and planned to buy a new iPod then saw your product. It fixed the problem.

Give yourselves yet another pat on the back... your doctor programme cured my problem. I left the ipod to drain (I couldn’t switch off anyway) and once it was well and truly dead ran it with your doctor prog again. JUST BRILLIANT.
My feedback therefore is that you should be awarded the peace prize. Peace of mind with such excellent software that has revived a seriously dead ipod, so easy to use and follow, but best of all it works; no fuss, nothing complex; just a simple do it, and it does do it - AWESOME!!!
