The steps below outline a quick way to export and view iPhone SMS text messages in Microsoft Excel. In order to view iPhone SMS in Excel, you have to export the messages to a PC in XLS format. Start CopyTrans Contacts and plug in the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. The program automatically displays all iPhone messages.

To export messages for the specific period, click on a cogwheel symbol under a list of services and choose the exact time frame:

Choose the iPhone SMS you wish to view in Excel. To select all iPhone messages, check the box next to “Messages”. Now click “Export selected”.

Next, click “Excel (single .xls file)”.

At this stage you may also choose another file format. Web page permits the highest degree of interactivity with your backed-up iPhone messages. We recommend the Word format for editing your messages. The PDF format is the best for archiving and printing your SMS or for enjoying the full range of emojis in your conversations.

From the newly-opened Browse window, navigate to the location on the PC where to export the iPhone text messages or just select “Desktop”. Now click OK.

All selected iPhone messages are now exported to a single Excel *.xls file

Just double-click on the file in order to open and view the iPhone messages in Excel. Each message thread will appear under a separate Excel sheet
