We store thousands of photos on our iPhone or iPad without giving a second thought about backup. A broken, lost or stolen iPad, iPhone, or iPod is no good for keeping photos safe. Backing-up photos via iCloud is not ideal due to limited free storage. iTunes does not provide a rigid backup solution either.
The steps below demonstrate how using CopyTrans Photo helps you back up and transfer all iPad, iPhone, or iPod photos and albums to PC in a single click and without the need for iCloud and iTunes.
1-click backup of iPad photos and albums to PC

Run the program and connect the iPad to the PC. The iPad photos appear on the left-hand side of the main program window
iPad photo albums appear in the pane on the left of the iPad photos. You can see the photos contained within individual albums by clicking on an album
To copy all current iPad photos and albums at once click on the “Full Backup” button
From the newly-appeared window, select the PC backup location and click OK
Let the backup complete
The iPad photos are backed-up to the computer folder of your choice and each iPad album appears as separate folder on the PC complete with its photo contents.
This is how to back up and transfer the entire set of iPad, iPhone, or iPod photos and albums to a PC with a single click.

For users on iOS 11 iPad Pro
Apple introduced a new default photo format in iOS 11. If you are using iPhone 7/7 Plus, 8/8Plus, X or iPad Pro, you will most likely have some of your photos transferred in HEIC format.
To view your HEIC pictures on Windows, use CopyTrans HEIC for Windows – a simple tool that allows you to open and view HEIC files using the native Windows Photo Viewer and Windows Explorer.
