Start using SyncGuardian

1) Before you connect your iPod to the computer, open SyncGuardian and make sure iTunes is closed.

2) Click on "Protect & detect iPod Now"

This will prevent iTunes from detecting your iPod when you connect it to the computer.

Note: It's important that you don't open iTunes while running SyncGuardian to avoid an unwanted accidental iPod update by iTunes.

3) Plug in your iPod and select it from the drop down list
