If you have an iPod Classic 6G or an iPod Nano (starting from 3G), iCloner will work with these models of iPod as long as you backup and restore the same iPod model.

Therefore, you cannot restore such iPods with an iCloner backup image made from another model of iPod. This is due to restrictions imposed by Apple to these devices.

Though, you can use a backup image created from an iPod Classic 6G or an iPod Nano (starting from 3G) to restore an older model of iPod, as long as the firmware of that older iPod has been recently updated.

iCloner is, unfortunately, not compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch yet, because these two devices are locked by Apple restrictions, but you can backup your iPhone or iPod Touch contents using CopyTrans.
