You probably landed on this page because you are not using the latest version of CopyTrans.
A) If you purchased CopyTrans less than a year ago:
Please update to the latest version of CopyTrans.
If you are still unable to backup to iTunes, please contact our support team at copytrans@copytrans.net.
B) If you purchased more than a year ago:
Please adjust iTunes settings for successful backup into iTunes.
- Before you adjust the iTunes settings please eject your iPod and close CopyTrans.
- Open iTunes.
- In the Edit menu, select "Preferences".
- In the window that opens go to the "Advanced" tab.
- Uncheck the options "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" as shown on the screenshot below.

- Close iTunes, open CopyTrans and connect your iPod.
CopyTrans might fail to detect the iTunes settings and opens up a message as shown below:

In this case, and only if you have correctly adjusted the iTunes settings, you can click on the "Ignore" button.
That's it, you are all set! Your songs, playlists and other precious data can now be imported to iTunes!
