CopyTrans Photo overview
Once you open CopyTrans Photo and connect your iPod, iPhone or iTouch, your iPod pictures are listed on the left as well as the list of your iPod albums and on the right side of the program, are displayed your computer images and the explorer to navigate through your folders easily.
Hide & show album list and folder explorer
In case you have a limited number of iPod albums, you can switch from the album list view to the tab view to save working space. The folder explorer on the right side of the program can also be collapsed. You just need to click these icons.
The iPod album list will be replaced by tabs.
Create albums on your iPod or iPhone
Before copying photos on & off your iPod, you need to learn how to create new albums on your Apple player: Click on the "New Album" button (here, circled in blue), name the iPod album and click "OK".
iPhone users, your albums will be created in the iPhone's Photo Library, not in the Camera Roll. Remember that the Camera Roll only stores the pictures you have taken with the iPhone.
Create folder shorcuts in CopyTrans Photo
As shown on the following image, you can create folder shorcuts in Copytrans Photo to rapidly access your computer folders. The shortcut will be created based on the last open tab. Use the Explorer to open a new folder and double click on it. The pictures will be displayed and the shortcut will now be named according to the new folder.
To close the shortcut you have just created, right-click on it and select the "close" option on the popup menu.
Transfer PC Photos to iPod & iPhone
Open any computer folder & select the pictures you want to add to your iPod. The selected photos will be highlighted in blue. Then, simply drag & drop the photos to the left-hand side window (see image below).
Note: the photos will only be copied once you click the "Apply changes" button. More info.
iPhone users, please note that you can transfer computer photos either to the iPhone's Photo Library or to an album, but not to the Camera Roll, as the Camera Roll only contains the photos taken with the iPhone camera. You cannot delete photos from the Camera Roll either.
