Note: you will find information on how to move songs between libraries or transfer songs to a specific iTunes library on the last page of this tutorial.

Creating libraries

Start by hitting the "Add" button in the Libraries area.

Note: if the main window of iLibs is not open, double-click on the iLibs icon in the tray.

A new window pops up

Choose a name for the new library.

• You can create the new library from:
• Scratch
• Using the whole existing iTunes library
• From one of your existing libraries or the one of another user if libraries were already created (note that if you choose this option, your iPod will be linked to both the new library and the one it was created from).

Note: if you do not specify a user, the new library will be created for the default user.

That's it. You are done!

Note: when removing a song from a library, iTunes will first ask whether you wish to delete it and then whether you wish to move the selected songs to the Recycle Bin. If you choose to move the songs to the Recycle Bin, the actual file will be deleted from your computer. Therefore, you or the other users will no longer be able to use it for any library. Then, if you intend to remove a song from one library but wish it to be still available to other users or to yourself for your other libraries, make sure to click "Keep Files" when prompted as follows
