Regarding the personal data that you wish to import from your iPod to iTunes, CopyTrans offers, once again, all the desired versatility.

ipod date last played backup

As its name implies, the "Skip playlists duplicates" option either allows you to avoid having songs appear several times in a playlist or it imports a playlist exactly the way you created it, including with several occurrences of the same songs if that's what you wished.

Adding a prefix to your playlists can be very useful if you wish, for example, to date your playlists (e.g. 11-10-2007 Rock, 11-10-2007 Jazz) or assign them to a user (e.g.: David Jazz, Michael Jazz, etc).

Once you click

backup ipod metadata

CopyTrans launches the backup and starts by copying your iPod to your computer.

ipod video backup

Once the copy is complete, CopyTrans automatically ejects your iPod. If it's not able to do it automatically, it will ask you to physically unplug it from your computer.

Make sure to do so.

ipod classic backup

CopyTrans starts importing your iPod songs, playlists and other personal data to iTunes.

ipod nano backup

Once the backup is complete, the summary shows you all the details of the backup.

Note: the previously copied or imported files are the ones that were already on your computer or in iTunes before the backup and that CopyTrans did not copy or import a second time in order to avoid duplicates.
