Start the backup
Click
CopyTrans shows that it is ready for backup and displays a summary of the tasks to perform.
If all that sounds fine to you, you just need to click the "Start Backup" button
Otherwise, if you wish to customize these settings, do not hesitate to do so by clicking the appropriate buttons.
You can modify the default destination backup folder (and even choose a destination folder on an external hard drive).
The name options allow you to manage:
Even more flexible names options are available for the most advanced users among you. Just click "Advanced".
Once you click
CopyTrans launches the backup and displays its progress.
Once the backup is complete, the summary shows you all the details of the backup.
Note: the "previously copied" files are the ones that were already on your computer before the backup and that CopyTrans did not copy a second time in order to avoid duplicates.
Click "Finish" and Voilà! Your iPod songs have been successfully copied to the folder of your choice.

Note: during the backup, CopyTrans has generated an .xml file in your backup folder. This file allows you to import your backup songs in iTunes at any moment as well as your personal data such as your playlists, ratings, etc! To read more about this procedure, click here.
