    This is so much EASIER than iTunes from APPLE.........for the best.....you don't have to buy anything.....second, the downloads are in just a few seconds,or under 2 to 3 minutes.......now thats how it should be!!!!!! I do admit...the APPLE IPOD TOUCH is great.........but you shouldn't have to BUY every download,almost,that you like to go with it!!!!!!! Even in the manual that came with it.....I don't think it has anything it it that reads you GOT to be connected to the internet(wireless) to be able to do any thing with your ipod......only the time and date of the day!!!! It took me 14 hours........I didn't know you have to have a wireless connection to be able to do something with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any way...agian......THANK YOU.....and I know that I'll be using COPYTRANS as long as I have my ipod!!!!!

  • Wow!!!! Someone wrote software for the iPod that doesn't try to connect to the internet, that doesn't erase all your files if you change computers, that doesn't take forever to "synchronize" the iPod and PC, and transferring music is as easy as drag and drop.

  • I have just downloaded CopyTrans and followed your instructions that you sent by email and frankly I am stunned.
    My 1788 songs that were on my iPod are now back in my iTunes in exactly the same order as before and all this happened in about 25 minutes.
    CopyTrans is absolutely awesome and saved me hundreds of hours getting my iTunes back to what it was.
    The price to is amazing - only £12.66. I would have paid 10 times this amount for such an outstanding product.

  • Thank you for making this program. It transferred all of my music that I had on my iPod back to my iTunes.
    My computer crashed and I had to restore it back to new. To my horror all of my music was gone in iTunes, and there was no easy way to transfer the music back from my iPod to iTunes. I almost gave up any hope of getting my music back into iTunes.

  • Just want to tell you what a great product you have made, my iTunes library is >23GB and I keep it for convenience on my work computer. For different reasons I had to switch this computer twice over the last year. With iTunes and iPod you cannot switch your iTunes system!!

    At first I would not believe it but that is the reality, then through Internet reviews I purchased CopyTrans. It does exactly what is sais and more, I have now twice moved my iTunes library and it is fast, 100% reliable and very easy to use. Have also used the product to back up my iPod, a breeze.

    I just wanted other to know how good this product is. Recommended to all those that need the functions iTunes does not have.

  • What a great program! The best word for it is elegant.

    I'm far removed from being a geek; I barely understand how a computer works. When my hard drive crashed and I needed to get a new computer, I despaired of ever recovering my music collection, the only copy of which was on my iPod. I tried numerous solutions from iTunes and the web, but all stymied me. They'd hang up or simply not work.

    Finding CopyTrans was a godsend. First of all, the program installed without a hitch and performed flawlessly. Within fifteen minutes, I had all my music back. Secondly, communication with your company has been amazingly prompt. This program is worth every penny and I'm recommending it and your company to everyone I know.

    Then I found your software... and thank God someone had some sense to make something that did not needed validations every 2 minutes to do something as simple as putting MP3s on an iPod.

  • The urge just came over me, after reviewing your newly revamped website, with great notices that CopyTrans has been updated for the latest release of the iPhone!

    Just to congratulate you on a great site. AND on a great group of products.

    I updated to iTunes 9 and completely lost the ability to go to the app store. Apparently, so did thousands of others. Apple has already released two service updates to version 9. This software just gets worse and worse. It's completely obtuse and so wasteful of my time.

    Your stuff, on the other hand, does everything I would think their stuff should do, but doesn't.

  • As a Linux user that also has to use windows from time to time I had many issues with iTunes wanting to rewrite my collection DB after I had all my music sorted via GTKPod. This wrecked my iPod;l I was unable to play some tracks and all the artwork was set to the cover from the first album on there. Needless to say binned iTunes and limited myself to using GTKPod, until one day I thought I'd take a look for a Windows alternative....

    I found this is a truly masterful piece of software! It downloaded, installed and run first time. It has a sleek, easy to use, logical interface. TBH I had to check that I was actually still on a windows machine! I connected my iPod and it recognised it instantly and I was able to change the music on there and set artwork at a whim... Truly gobsmackingly efficient and a pleasure to use! I shall certainly be recommending this software.

  • Thank you so much. I have been trying to use that stupid iTunes program with my son's new iPod Nano and nothing wanted to load. No matter what I did it would only load the same 5 songs. I deleted the songs several times and reloaded the albums several times but nothing I did would take. I saw your program and thought that anything at that point was a worth a try.   • I purchased your CopyTrans software to restore my iPod library. My PC's hard drive crashed and I lost everything except what was on my iPod. Since it had 5000 songs on it, I was pretty upset and unsure what to do as the folks at the local Apple store couldn't help me, nor could anyone else.

After my hard drive crashed on my old computer I was heartbroken and thought it would take hours to try to finagle my songs from my iPod back to a new pc. I scoured the net and read a few too many horror stories of people erasing their whole libraries or importing only the songs they bought from iTunes or, getting the songs to iTunes but having the titles jumbled. I honestly just wanted it to be done - prettily - restored exactly as before with no ifs ands or buts. All my songs AND playlists are restored now and I am happily listening to them again.   • I just want to say thank you for such a great software. Last week I upgraded to the OS 3.0 on my iPod touch. Two days later, my notebooks HDD crashed, and my computer would not boot. After spending the entire weekend installing several other trial versions of software, I came across CopyTrans. I installed, and it instantly recognized my iPod. So after making sure it would transfer songs back to my computer, I purchased the complete version and transferred all 5700 songs back to a safe location. Best $19.99 I spent in a while.   • I just wanted to thank you for putting this software out on the market. I had purchased my first iPod four years ago. After the first year my computer crashed and I lost all my music on my pc. I held onto my old iPod and about two years later when my frustration went away around the fact that no one could help me salvage the music on my older iPod I bought another iPod.

    Then, about a year and a half ago my computer crashed again. I had given up on iPods and iTunes. I decided to do a search to try again to see if anyone had anything out there and then I found your company. Not only was I able to get back about 1,000 songs but I had two audio books and about 1,000 pictures that I thought were lost forever. I'm so very pleased that I stayed patient and did not dispose of my two iPods. More like ecstatic!!!!

  • You have a great software package. I actually started to use another competing product, however after buying it, I found that it could not handle an iPod Touch. In addition, it dumped duplicate copies into the iTunes folder, a real problem for us as we have 5 different iPods in our family.   • I was having problems with my iPod's hard drive. Needed a restore. Problem was my computer crashed last month and I had to do a complete system restore. Lost all my music on my hard drive.   • Thank you for this wonderful program. I experienced a Windows crash that required a complete restore. Since iTunes is installed with XP, the restore erased my library. I was afraid to plug the iPod back in for fear of it syncing and erasing the iPod's library as well, despite changing the autosync options. A little paranoid, but I didn't relish the thought of having to upload all of my CDs again. Lost my entire iTunes library (83GB) and had resigned myself to rebuilding the entire thing from scratch which would have taken hundreds of hours and cost an arm, leg and then some. Saw your product on iLounge or Macworld and gave it a shot out of sheer desperation. Very well written tutorial, almost idiot proof in operation and boom, in just a few hours I had my entire library back with no information lost and zero file corruptions from my iPod classic. Excellent program, works exactly as advertised and at $20, is a screaming bargain considering what I could have been looking at. Plus, in addition to an external USB drive copy of my library now, I also know I can use your program to recover directly from the iPod if needed which is great.

  • I just wanted to say a big thank you for creating CopyTrans! Usually iPods work better than mp3 players, but I really freaked out when -after a computer failure and reinstalling Windows and everything- I noticed that putting back my music collection in my freshly re-installed iTunes is not enough: a few stupid XML files, that were now gone, had stored all my play counts, ratings, album art etc. All... gone, I panicked! What was Apple thinking, not simply storing all that inside the mp3 files?! Fortunately you build the application Apple really should have build and provided themselves. As I write this CopyTrans is busy pumping my music back into iTunes. 20 bucks well spent.

  • CopyTrans is FAB-U- LOUS software.I am a 66 year old retired grandfather who received an iPod Touch for Christmas. I love the iPod and had loaded over a thousand songs since New Year. In March I purchased a new computer and did not know that I could not upload my iPod music and photos to my new computer with the iTunes software. I purchased a commercial software program from a major retailer that was going to fix the problem. Well after two days of trying to get the software to load and sync with the iTunes software, I gave up and started Googleing. (Should have Googled first) And Voila, WindSolutions offered a free 14 day trial for Copy Trans a software program that purported to do exactly what I was trying to do. Well last night at about 11PM, I downloaded the software and within an hour or so I had transferred my 250 free songs and immediately purchased the software online and finished the iTunes upload to the new computer. Copy Trans is easy to install, and use. I liked it so well that I purchased the other three complimentary programs. I am very happy to report that my iPod is syncing with the new computer and not a single file/song or picture was lost. I consider myself a slightly above average computer user and I had absolutely no problems with the software. Your software worked great and I am looking forward to using iLibs on my wife’s new iPod Nano. I am keeping your web site on my computer in case I or anyone I know needs the repair software.   • I never write emails regarding how products work but I'm very thankful that this program exists. I recently reformatted my computer and apparently backing up my iTunes library wasn't enough.     This might just be the best software I've ever purchased. It worked even better than promised - easy, idiot-proof and painless. And the support is amazing - fast, responsive, right on target. It worked for multiple user accounts on the same computer (the way we manage three different iTunes libraries) without a hitch. Well, I had one hitch, but it was totally user error related, and I just started over, no problem! One of the biggest (but understandable) drawbacks to iTunes/iPod is the lack of backup from the iPod, but now this problem is solved. My high-priced, very experience tech help couldn't help me with my iTunes issue when I changed computers, but this great $20 program did the trick. Thanks so much!

  • I had one of those nightmare moments after the computer I use at work was migrated to another server, my iTunes library was unintentionally deleted. I was worried that I lost years of accumulated media, ratings, playlists, etc in that library. I scoured Google for any way to extract the info from my iPod and restore it to my library. I found a review on iLounge (unsolicited) that rated your product as the best for what I was looking for. It was.     It's a far superior product to the other two I tried. Easier to use and understand...maybe they should write a book called iPods for Dummies. They also have a program called CopyTrans Doctor, which analyzes the iPod and also claims to be able to restore lost songs when other programs can't.

I called Apple who told me that I was out of luck and the music couldn't be recovered. I read all of your positive feedback but I was nervous about using your program to get the music off, just in case I lost everything. I downloaded the trial, purchased the full version, and in 2 clicks (literally) and about 15 minutes, your program had done everything - it recovered all of my iPod files and imported them to iTunes.   • My PC gave up the ghost over the Christmas holiday and with it went 13,000+ songs I had stored on my I tunes.
    My songs were obviously still on my iPod but every where you looked up and read it seemed that it was at best a very complicated scenario or time consuming having to load on every cd to restore my iTunes to its former glory or at worst it was practically impossible.
    Then I read about CopyTrans and reading the very positive reviews about ease of use thought that at $20 approx. £10 it was worth an attempt; Quite honestly it the one of the best $20-£10 I have ever spent.
    the ease of use and I am a technophobe! is remarkable.
    Everything is there if things like play count /lists etc are important to you.to be frank I just wanted my iTunes back and got it mirror image.

Indeed, when I can't find the originally ripped or downloaded music on my PC's hard drive, I copy it from the CopyTrans copy on the external drive. It's a good safety net.

  • Hello I bought a license for the CopyTrans Suite on Saturday and I wanted to thank you for your software - it does exactly what it says.

    Also, I even managed to rescue a previously discarded 30GB iPod by running your beta CopyTrans Doctor. After a few attempts, the damaged iPod was detected and I hit the scan button. The software reported a number of bad sectors on the disk, quickly told me I had references to some files which were no longer on the disk and repaired it for me. I now have another iPod which synchronizes beautifully with iTunes. So thanks!!

    Just wanted to say that I'm thrilled with all aspects of Copy Trans. After computer trouble trashed two years worth of work distilling a 2400 CD jazz collection into a 60G personal 'best-of', eliminating duplicate cuts, isolating and meticulously categorizing solos to learn by genre, instrument, artist, tempo, etc.; I was desperate. After thoroughly researching iPod copy options on the Web and with 'Geniuses', I chose Copy Trans. Purchase, documentation, download and setup were quick and painless. More importantly, the software works exactly as described. All of the available support, while reassuring, was completely unnecessary. Intuitive, glitch-free software that flawlessly copied all of my music, folders, and folder assignments back to my computer deserves a huge THANK YOU. I recommend this software without reservations to anyone in a similar situation.

    I tried just letting your software listing the songs without me tampering with it, and everything worked fine. Before when nothing happened for a minute or more, I started clicking the title bar and pulling up task manager. This time I just told it to list songs and left the room, and everything worked as it is supposed to. Thanks much for your assistance.   • Hi there. this is a great resource should you lose your iTunes library. it took about 30 minutes to put all of my 3700 songs back on my computer after I killed my iTunes library. costs $20- I researched this site with iLounge and other places before downloading since I got lots of computer warnings about not knowing the site--great reviews. trial has limitations in # of songs you can retrieve in a session. I just bought the license and restored the library.

    Just wanted to say CopyTrans has saved my life. I have just moved country with my 1st gen 30G iPod as the only backup of my music. To my horror it is now gasping its last breaths (locking up, not playing etc). Luckily I discovered your product and now have a backup. So if it dies suddenly I will have no qualms about upgrading to a new iPod!

    Best $20 I ever spent. Just went through my first (hopefully last) hard drive crash, and foolishly hadn't backed up since purchasing and aggressively stocking an 80GB iPod six months ago. I had labored to rip my 400+ CD collection onto said iPod. Had I lost all that time, it would have been the sourest note of losing my many documents. I saved for a year to buy that iPod. I understand Apple's piracy concerns, but think they need to take a long look at this issue so many music lovers are experiencing.     Here’s why: A month ago, my XP machine suffered from a defective hard drive. With over 6,000 tunes on my iPod (with quite a few being purchased), I had no way to restore iTunes before the crash. I even went to the Apple Store in my hometown and was told by one of the staff that they "legally bound" to offer no solutions for a problem like this.   • After losing my playlists, I was faced with the aggravating task of recreating around 25 playlists with hundreds of songs. I did an internet search and found a couple free programs that promised to restore everything...well, they didn't work. Then I found CopyTrans. I was skeptical but I figured that $20 was definitely worth it if it worked. I downloaded it and it actually worked the first time. I contacted their support and they were extremely helpful. All I had to do was to unplug my iPod after the program did its magic and it had copied all the songs and playlists flawlessly. I highly recommend this program !!!

    I just felt compelled to send you a quick note to let you know how happy I am that I found "CopyTrans"!

    Last November my computer for some unknown reason lost all of my iTunes Music (4,729 songs)...I panicked...all of my music was on my 30 Gig iPod and I was desperate to get my music back to my computer's iTunes program.

    I bought a program called XXXXX. It promised to retrieve my music off of my iPod...NO LUCK! The program did NOT work...a couple of weeks later I purchased XXXXX, it too did NOT work! For about 8 weeks I was back and forth with their tech people and they could never get it to work! I lost hope...I was frustrated...I thought I would search the Internet one last time for a solution.

    Google led me to your product "CopyTrans"...I was a little hesitant having already purchased two products that failed to perform. Well, I took a leap of faith and purchased "CopyTrans". Set-up was SUPER EASY!!! Instructions on how to make "CopyTrans" work were straight forward and simple to follow! Well, what do you know, all of my music is back into iTunes and I am now synchronizing between the two with no issues!

    I wish someone could have told me about your product before I wasted my money on other software that promised to retrieve my music off of my iPod but failed to work. "CopyTrans" rocks and I will be recommending this program to ALL the iPod users I know!

  • Downloaded the trial. It worked in minutes, side-stepping my faltering iPod, getting the goods, and placing the first set of music directly in iTunes. Went back, purchased it, and that was that. After a couple of months of torture, I was fixed in about 45 minutes. Then I took the new iPod upgrader, zeroed out my iPod, and refilled it with the sweet sounds I love.

  • As Elton John said, “Someone saved my life”. I thought it was going to be a big production to get iTunes back to the way it was before. My PC crashed and I was afraid that if this didn’t work, my iPod would have wiped out all my music as well and I would be left having to rip all my songs again. That wasn’t the case.   • This program is excellent - easy quick and simple to use! - I had my music on external hard drive, plugged it from an XP machine to Windows2000 and lost everything but instead of having to reimport/repurchase, all I had to do was drag and drop from iPod using CopyTrans! - I know can be done without program, but interface etc. is excellent, and very user friendly...     I want to thank you for putting out a great program. Since I bought it a couple of months ago, I've had to use it several times. My computer crashed and the only back-up I had was my iPod. All my hours of 4 plus gigs of music files would have been useless had it been up to Apple (in their defense, I called them to ask them if I could transfer my music back to my computer from my iPod and they said that they couldn't condone it, but if I wanted to go on the 'net and do the research myself, it could be done). The rest is history. Now I have my 1155 songs back in iTunes where they belong. The small fee you charge is well worth it. I highly recommend anyone with an iPod, get this software! Thank you.
